Why am I rooting for Netherlands? Simple: I am a pirate! The only decision that matters in life is which side to take on the great war between Ninjas and Pirates. Being a pirate makes me feel kin to the Netherlands since some of the most famous Pirates in history were Dutch.
Laurens de Graaf "The Scourge Of The West" was the epitome of the handsome swashbuckler. He was a friend of Henry Morgan who called him "A great and mischievous pirate".
Baltazar de Cordes was a Dutch corsair who left Magellin's circumnavigation mission to become a pirate.
But, even more importantly, there is something the Dutch pirates all had in common: they fought the Spanish. They raided Spanish treasure ships and settlements. They fought, alternately, with the Dutch, English and French navies to quell the Spanish conquest of the Caribbean. Spain is the Ultimate Enemy of the Pirate and as such I have a moral obligation to root against them. If you even remotely consider yourself a pirate you have a solemn duty to, at the very least, root against the Spanish. And to any of my fellow pirates who decide to become turn coats and cheer on Spain, rest assured that I will hunt you down with my flagship "Charon's Wake" and turn you in to the East India Trading Company and collect your bounty!
